The entire medical practice, on one platform

We created MedicoNet, the platform for doctors in the Dominican Republic where AI writes the consultation while the doctor sees the patient.

The challenge

A typical Dominican practice runs its schedule on WhatsApp, patient records on paper, prescriptions by hand and insurance (ARS) billing in a notebook or spreadsheet. Foreign systems don't account for the exequátur licence or the way Dominican insurers work, and doctors end up spending more time facing a screen than facing the patient.

The solution

We designed a platform that follows the patient from booking to billing. Patients book from their phone, the receptionist checks them in, the AI listens to the consultation (with signed consent) and prepares the record and prescription for the doctor to review. Everything the AI writes is flagged for review and nothing is saved without the doctor's confirmation.

What we built

The whole practice, connected

  • AI-written consultations

Reason for visit, exam, ICD-10 diagnosis, treatment and prescription, with specialty-specific records and dictated surgical notes.

  • Live schedule & waiting room

Bookings on real availability, automatic reminders 24 h and 1 h before, and a doctor alert when the patient arrives.

  • Prescriptions & certificates

With letterhead and licence number, ready to print and stored in the patient history.

  • Billing, insurers & accounting

Cash, transfer or insurance; receivables per insurer and Excel export.

  • Roles & privacy

The receptionist handles schedule and billing; clinical content is visible only to the doctor. Encrypted connection and recordings, with access logs.

  • Verified doctors

Every doctor is validated against the Ministry of Public Health's registry.
